History of Reading
The first evidence of the existence of Reading indicates that it was founded in the eighth century where the River Thames and River Kennet converged. The settlement was then known as Readingnum.

Things to Do in Reading
With such attractions as the Thames and Kennet rivers, the medieval ruins of Reading Abbey, the beautiful Thames Valley countryside, a major shopping centre and a host of restaurants and pubs, there is certainly a lot to do in this fascinating town.

Travelling To and Around Reading
Located in Berkshire in the South East of England, Reading is certainly not a difficult place to visit. And a visit there will certainly be worth your while if you're into medieval abbey ruins, rivers and exquisite countryside such as Thames Valley.
